TSOTS: Lab Report

Hypothesis: If music affects the germination of seeds, then the seeds exposed to Post Malone’s music will germinate faster. Control: The type of seeds,  number of seeds, and environment Variable: Type of music/no music Justification of hypothesis: Post Malone’s music is faster and will vibrate the seeds more and they’ll grow faster. We wanted to test this because music sometimes helps us work so it might help plants grow. Why did you choose this as your hypothesis? We chose this as our hypothesis because we thought the vibrations of Post Malone’s more intense music would shake the plants out of the seeds. Procedure: Materials: 45 broccoli seeds 3 solo cups Saran wrap Two sets of earphones Two phones for playing music Misted Water Paper towels Steps: Assemble “Seed Growing Area” Use rubber bands to make two layers of saran wrap (the first layer with a small dip in the middle for the seeds and the second needs to be tig...

Our broccoli plant has changed a lot over the past couple weeks. The plant is a lot bigger than before. Instead of roughly one-inch sprouts, our plant is about 5 inches tall It has light green, oval-shaped leaves. The leaves are smooth and relatively soft. It is in a shady area which might explain why it's not as tall as most other broccoli plants. The plants move water through the biosphere by soaking it up. Later, some of the water gets lost in transpiration. What the pant doesn't soak up is evaporated through the soil. As the plant soaks up water the water molecules split into hydrogen and oxygen molecules. These are later used to make ATP and other molecules that the plant needs for photosynthesis. ATP is used to transport things into and out of the cell through the hydrophobic lipid bilayer. Our broccoli plant does this just like all other plants. I know this because our plant is growing taller and the leaves are still alive and green, therefore it's going through ph...
